Collection: Simon Roy x Ankers Reforest Design

This collection brings together the abstract artwork of Simon Roy and the handcrafted woodwork of Scott Ankers, both based in North Leeds, combining colour, texture and craftmanship. 

Simon is a self-taught abstract artist working mainly with acrylics and pastels, and occasionally watercolours. He doesn't follow a set theme, which gives him the freedom to experiment and let each piece develop naturally. His inspriation comes from everyday surroundings and his love of travel. Photographs taken on his journeys, ranging from natural landscapes to striking architecture, often influence his work, particularly the way light, texture and shadow create unexpected forms. 

Scott is also a self taught carpenter creating both large bespoke furniture and smaller wooden pieces such as frames, chopping boards and charcuterie boards. His work highlights the natural beauty of wood while focusing on quality and function. Sustainability is central to his practice, for every item he makes, he plants a tree, believing that his work should give back to the environment.
